The upcoming Mid-Season Invitational (MSI 2023) will be a unique experience for League of Legends fans. Riot Games has made significant changes to the tournament's format, which now includes two additional teams, bringing the total number of teams to 13 from the previous 11.
To ensure a fair representation, each of the four major regions (LCS, LEC, LCK, and LPL) will send two representatives to the competition, which will take place in London, United Kingdom. This format change is expected to increase the level of competition and add more excitement to the event for players and spectators alike.
As MSI 2023 begins, fans of League of Legends can look forward to participating in the MSI-themed Clash tournaments. Unlike the traditional 8-team bracket format, these tournaments will feature a 16-team bracket, offering more opportunities for players to compete.
MSI 2023 Clash Cup rewards
As an incentive for participating in the MSI Clash tournaments, players who purchase a Premium Ticket will be eligible for various rewards. However, it is important to note that players in the JP region will not be eligible for these rewards due to legal restrictions.
- Players who place 1st through 5th in the tournament will receive a random legacy Conqueror Skin Permanent
- Players who place 6th-8th will receive a legacy Conqueror Skin Shard
The first weekend of the Clash tournaments is set to take place on May 6th and 7th, and team formation will be open for participants from May 3rd. Similarly, the second weekend of the tournament will be held on May 13th and 14th, with team formation open from May 8th.
Overall, the MSI-themed Clash tournaments are expected to be a thrilling addition to the MSI 2023 experience, providing players with a chance to showcase their skills and compete against top talent in the League of Legends community.
