Publisher 4Divinity and developer Eschatology Entertainment have unveiled the first extended gameplay trailer for Guns of Eschaton. As Gunslinger with No Name, players trek across America from West to East Coast fighting cultists, supernatural adversaries, and bosses in Guns of Eschaton.
Single players and full co-op teams can explore Gunslinger’s journey across this strange western territory, with progression carrying over between single player and multiplayer.
Instead of spraying bullets, gunslingers will rely on preparation and precision, as Guns of Eschaton stars slower, more tactical gunplay. Players use Smith & Wesson revolver with choice of ammo types, uncover enemies’ weaknesses with mystical utilities, and wield the Codex, your in-game encyclopedia of everything from enemies, factions, to ammo types.
Players can also dodge attack with parries, and mix firearms and occult skills to strategically take down foes.Towards the end of the gameplay reveal, No Name faces off against Widow.
Widow is one of several leaders in Guns of Eschaton, heading up V. I. T. R. I. O. L. Co., one of the game’s seven factions. After her husband died trying to build the world engine, Widow took up his mantle and founded a society ruled by the principles of Hermetic alchemy where Humans and Machines intertwine to achieve material perfection.
Explore the world and level up your gunslinger with new weapons, ammo types, armor pieces, talismans, consumables, and uncanny powers to discover new builds and playstyles.
Eschaton’s gunslinger world was the last universe imagined by Viktor Antonov, the visionary late art director of Half-Life 2 and creative visionary of Dishonored. The game mixes traditional frontier-Americana with eldritch horror for a unique spin on the American West.
