2K has shared the first gameplay trailer for NBA 2K27, featuring early looks at this year’s gameplay ahead of its September launch.
The trailer, which follows the reveal of NBA 2K27‘s cover athletes last week, centers on gameplay and shows off smoother player animations, faster gameplay, and updated arenas.
There aren’t any clear gameplay features here but players will get a look at improved visuals this year.
The gameplay trailer centers on new player animations, detailed environments, and broadcast-style presentation. There are several portions of the video highlighting close games between well-matched teams.
NBA 2K27 maintains the overall presentation we’ve seen in recent years, but players and arenas look updated with new player models and lighting.There’s still no word on what gameplay changes or new features players should expect from NBA 2K27.
We’ll likely learn more about changes to gameplay as release draws nearer. Deluxe Edition and Ultra Edition owners will receive early access to NBA 2K27 starting August 28, one week before launch.
NBA 2K27 will launch on September 4, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game’s release is less than a month away at this point, so fans can likely expect more gameplay and info dumps in the weeks leading up to launch.
