Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s latest campaign teaser confirms Valeria is returning, joining Captain Price for a dangerous mission in Paris.

Activision and Infinity Ward have shared another glimpse into the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. While fans will once again get a chance to see Captain Price up-close, another key element from Modern Warfare 2 will be returning for story.

Valeria is back for MW4’s campaign. During “Traffic”, Price is joined by the former kingpin of the cartel. Teaser footage also shows danger on the horizon in Paris, while another familiar menace looms over campaign. You can expect gunned down chases, APCs, and plenty of explosions when MW4’s story launches.

Appearances from Past Characters

In addition to Price, Valeria is featured prominently in the newest teaser. After rejoining the cast as El Sin Nombre in 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, she looks to be back at our hero’s side. The two are shown navigating the streets of Paris together, though Valeria makes mention of an “archer.” This could very well be in reference to one of Modern Warfare’s artillery systems. However, it’s currently unknown how this objective ties into the rest of the story.

As she and Price continue their mission, they run into another faction armed with weapons of their own. “They may not be the police, but they’re human just like us,” Valeria states.

As indicated by the mission name “Traffic”, high-speed chases are a major factor in this mission. While on the streets of Paris, players can expect to gun down enemies from a moving vehicle. The trailer also showcases players taking control of an APC, further adding to Modern Warfare 4‘s vehicle count.

While it currently hasn’t been revealed how this mission ties into the game’s retelling of the hunt for Makarov, one thing is for certain: Infinity Ward has a lot of story-related details up their sleeve.

MW4 is set for release on October 23, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. In addition to early access to the campaign, players who pre-order will get seven days to enjoy that content before everyone else. multiplayer will feature a new mode called Kill Block. This game mode will allow multiple modular sections of maps to combine into over 500 possible map layouts.
