Guild Wars 2 will be offering one rather prized possession for the players, provided they give it some watch time on Twitch.
ArenaNet is increasing the marketing budget for Guild Wars 2 it seems since people are starting to talk about it outside the regular forum communities.
One of the reasons appears to be a Twitch Drops campaign which will run from May 23 to 28, 2023, and it holds four rewards in total, with the final one being rather valuable.
The rewards in question are:
- Warrior Quaggan Backpack (one hour watched)
- X3 Upgrade Extractors (two hours watched)
- End of Dragons T-Shirt outfit (four hours watched)
- Bag Slot expansion (six hours watched)
Granted, this means you need to have a stream running for six hours but there are a few ways to make it more feasible.
The first and more obvious option is to leave streams with Drops enabled running while you are not on the computer to rack up the points.
Alternatively, you can have the stream running while you are on the computer but you need to work around the rule of not muting it. Namely, if you mute a stream, it does not count towards the rewards' progress.
However, this doesn't mean you can't mute the browser tab it's in. Browsers such as Opera GX allow you to mute the tab by clicking the speaker icon on the tab itself. Alternatively, you can right-click the browser and click Mute on most browsers.
The bag slot expansion is valuable because it is rather expensive otherwise, selling at five bucks a pop.
