ArenaNet has made the Dragon's End meta significantly easier with a single change and there might be future alterations while those hunting for turtle eggs will get alternative sources for it.
Dragon's End meta in Guild Wars 2 has been both praised and shunned due to its difficulty. While a challenge is a fun thing to take on, wasting two hours and having nothing to show for it is not.
As such, ArenaNet nerfed the final boss in the meta event by reducing its tail attack frequency by roughly 50 per cent so we should see fewer instant deaths overall. This translates into more opportunities to deal damage to the boss, which will hopefully be good enough to compensate for the RNG that decides how many, if any, break bars we get during the fight. The tail nerf is effective immediately so you should start seeing better results as soon as the next time you go for the meta.
If you were having trouble starting off the collection to get your own Siege Turtle mount, this change will help greatly but it's not the only one that the devs will help you out with.
Siege Turtle Egg is currently available only through completing the Dragon's End meta but that will change on March 15, 2022. A new vendor will appear on the same map, allowing players to trade 200 Writs of the Jade Sea for an egg.
If you're not keen on paying so much for the egg, you can still get it the good old fashioned way - by getting a zerg of players and slapping the Void together.
