ArenaNet today announced Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, the sixth major expansion to Guild Wars 2, which launches on October 28, 2025. Visions of Eternity thrusts players into a new landmass as they explore Castora, a mystical island nation filled with unknown magic, twisted wildlife, and leyline potential.
Visions of Eternity will also see an expansion to the Homestead, as well as a new elite specialization for all nine professions.
Visions of Eternity will continue to build on the positive reception of last year’s Janthir Wilds expansion. For $24.99, Guild Wars 2 players will receive a brand-new storyline, two new explorable maps on day one, as well as brand-new customization options for all nine professions.
Features at Launch
Main Story Map: Island of Castora
Visions of Eternity sees players exploring a new landmass known as Castora, as they search for answers on the origins of a new, unknown magic, as well as distorted wildlife and dormant ley energy.
Visions of Eternity will grant players access to two new explorable maps on day one, with additional maps set to release in updates in 2026.
Brand-New Elite Specializations
Visions of Eternity will offer players a new elite specialization for all nine professions. Each specialization will include new traits and utility skills for professions to experiment with. A closed beta period will be available from August 20–27 for players to test these new specializations.
Skimmer Mastery Lines
Players will be able to ride their way into Visions of Eternity as the Skimmer mount is enhanced with three new mastery lines that will improve underwater navigation and combat mechanics, as well as themed rewards when traversing through Castora.
Beachside Homestead Plot
Visions of Eternity also offers players a new tropical Homestead location to decorate and call home. Players will be able to unlock the Beachside Homestead plot and start from scratch, or utilize the brand-new Homestead Layout feature to instantly share and copy the layout and decorations of any Homestead they own in the game. Owners of the corresponding decorations will also receive them in their inventory.
