Fantasy RPG called GreedFall 2: Dying World will be launched in its early access on Steam in the second half of September 2024. The players will be able to play GreedFall 2: The Dying World from September 24, 2024.
After that, the game will be launched in the early access phase on PC, Steam, while the final version (as well as the version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) is expected in the foreseeable future.
The game in question will be a prequel to the well-received fantasy RPG from 2019, but unlike it, it will focus more on tactical gameplay than direct action.
One of the new things in this game is that the players will be able to manage the whole party in the middle of the fight. That fight will not be turn-based, but rather in the style of Dragon Age games, with the possibility of tactically pausing the action.
It remains to be seen whether such an approach will attract the same amount of players as the original, which was played by more than a million people.
Upon the Greedfall's early access launch on Steam, players will have the opportunity to get a taste of a large portion of the game. They will have the chance to explore three in-game regions: Uxantis, Teer Fradee and Thynia.
Moreover, the players will have access to character creation tools, to explore different dungeons, meet their companions and complete different regional quests.
