Elden Ring will appear on the next Taipei Game Show that's scheduled to take place on January 28, 2021, according to Elden Ring fans, as the game was supposed to show on the canceled TGS 2020 back in February.
Elden Ring was supposed to appear back in February at Taipei Game Show 2020 among many other games as a part of Sony Interactive Entertainment's showcase , but the entire event was canceled due to the Coronavirus restrictions.
We wrote about Elden Ring showing at TGS 2020 back in January, and you can check out the article HERE .
Taipei Game Show 2021 is scheduled to take place on January 28, 2021, which aligns almost perfectly with what Jeff Grubb was saying when he asked for fans to be patient a tiny bit more:
"Here's one thing that I've heard that I can say: have a little bit more patience, but just a little bit more. And that does not mean days, and I don't think it means weeks but it doesn't mean months and months and months," he said in a GamesBeat podcast . "I think they could have shown it here [TGA] if they wanted to, I think it's at that stage but let's just give it a month or two more."
So, a "month or two" fits perfectly in the time-window of the scheduled TGS 2021, and it was more than enough for reddit users to start speculating again. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice had 15-minutes long gameplay at Taipei Game Show 2019 , so, naturally, fans of Elden Ring are guessing that Elden Ring could get a lengthy gameplay showcase in January and that TGS 2021 is the main reason it didn't show on The Game Awards 2020.
As always, take this with a (major) dose of scepticism.
Elden Ring is in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. However, it's safe to assume it's also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
