The first patch for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is now live across all platforms and it brings a couple of balancing changes to make the expansion a bit easier since players have been complaining about the increased difficulty when compared to the base game.
The patch 1.12.2 only focuses on the expansion's two key mechanics - the Shadow Realm Blessings and Revered Spirit Ash Blessings - which have received buffs to allow players to take more hits and also make their mimic stronger.
"Attack and damage negation curve scaling of the Shadow Realm Blessings and Revered Spirit Ash Blessings enhancements have been revised," From Software said.
The official patch notes state that damage negation and attack power of your ashes will be increased for the first half of all the Blessings you can find in the world. To explain this a bit better, there are 20 Shadow of the Erdtree levels so your first 10 levels will receive a bigger boost than those from 10 to 20.
Elden Ring Patch 1.12.2 patch notes
- The attack and damage negation has been increased for the first half of the maximum amount of Blessing enhancements, and the second half will now be more gradual.
- The attack and damage negation granted by the final level of Blessing enhancements has been slightly increased.
To make sure the patch has been applied, check your game version in the bottom right of the title menu, which should have the 1.12.2 version.
