Have you seen that massive info dump on Destiny 2? Here is a bit of a condensed version so you can check out the highlights.
Bungie released a pile of information about the future of Destiny 2 that many fans won't get into because there is so much that it quickly becomes overwhelming.
Thankfully, you can always check out a TL;DR version that someone in the community makes or the one we prepared for you.
With that said, let's get into what the next four seasons will offer.
Season of the Defiance (Season 20)
The inaugural season of Lightfall will bring along:
- Guardian ranks (progression system)
- One new raid
- Loadouts (finally)
- Enhanced non-crafted weapons
- More difficulty in patrols and other activities that became menial
- More Crucible Lab modes
Season of the Deep (Season 21)
- New dungeon
- New seasonal activity
- New PvP map
There is also no Power cap increase in this season so the Pinnacle grind in S20 will be somewhat more meaningful.
Bungie
Season 22
- New PvP map
- Exotic mission rotation
- Re-introduction of an old raid
Exotic mission rotation pertains to the seasonal activities that yielded Exotic weapons, such as Hawkmoon and Dead Man's Tale. They were moved to the vault but will be available on a rotation as of Season 22.
Season 23
- Group finder
- New dungeon
- Re-introduction of an old PvP map
Group finder already exists in the form of the mobile app but not everyone is willing to go the length for it. With this change, the group finder will be available in the game itself.
