Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the long-awaited game, will soon be appearing at this year's Gamescom Opening Night Live. The show's host, Geoff Keighley, went on his Twitter elaborating that the next shooter title will bring its first campaign gameplay walkthrough ever during the show's Opening Night taking place on August 20th.
Though the specifics of the gameplay reveal are unclear, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was just announced, the presentation would presumably highlight an in-game mission. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign takes off directly after the Black Ops Cold War and will put players in the middle of the Gulf War.
The player and partners in this installment are supposed rogues because it seems a new, mysterious threat has taken the reigns at the CIA. Operating from a new base called the Manor, they are joined by other operatives who share their mission.
CoD: Black Ops 6 is going to be released on October 25, 2024, just like its predecessor, and will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. It becomes even more important as the first one from this franchise going day one to Game Pass, thus making it accessible to fans right from the start.
Aside from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the appetizer for Gamescom Opening Night Live is set to wow everyone with a lengthy list of games to both reveal and showcase.
It will include Monster Hunter Wilds, Dune: Awakening, Marvel Rivals, Civilization 7, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. And there's also this Supermassive Games' teaser that hints at a reveal for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020.
With so much content residing in the lineup, this year's Opening Night Live from Gamescom definitely promises for a mouth-watering presentation, one bound not to be missed by any gaming enthusiast. Make sure to tune at 11 a.m. PST on August 20 for all the action.
