Baldur's Gate 3 - Lae'Zel will require more to be courted

It is a sad day in the speedrunning world as one of the most hilarious categories of all time has been nerfed. This doesn't mean it will cease to exist though.

In Baldur's Gate 3 Patch #4, Larian Studios once again fixed a pile of bugs and one of them was not exactly something fans, or at least the speedrunning community wanted.

For Lae'zel to decide to romance you, you no longer only need to gain high enough approval from her. You must also have proven yourself worthy through your actions.

With this fix, it is no longer possible to romance Lae'Zel in a matter of minutes as she will have to witness Tav's ruthlessness or heroics on top of gaining her approval.

This was quickly picked up by the most prolific speedrunner in this category, the one who initially started the craze about getting into Lae'Zel's pants quickly, Mae.

In a video lamenting the fix, the speedrunner showcased some of the highlights from the start of the journey, over the trimming of the run length, all the way to the partial end of the adventure with the latest patch.

Some hope remains, however, as Mae pointed out that the speedrunning community will probably just form a new leaderboard for Sex% that includes only the times after Patch #4.

If this comes to pass, we could get an encore of the entire race where everyone starts from scratch and tries to get some action as soon as possible.
