Valve doesn't stuff Dota 2 full of new heroes the way Riot does with League of Legends but when a new one is on the horizon, the hype goes through the roof.
This was the case with Ringmaster, the latest planned addition for the popular MOBA, who recently got himself a cinematic trailer where he toys with Axe, pardon the pun.
Before long, the fans already figured out his voice actor and other trivia, driving the hype train ever onward.
The keen listeners took notice of the Ringmaster's voice actor, who turned out to be John de Lancie, who already has ties with the universe.
In Dota: Dragon's Blood, he played the part of Ritterfau, a high-ranking dragon knight who may not be all the order members think he is. In any case, the actor's versatility is well-documented on IMDB, where you can see the actor's live-action work as well.
Additionally, he voiced Alarak in Heroes of the Storm, which is unfortunately on life support now that Blizzard decided to call it quits on developing new content for the game.
Ringmaster is an original hero that was not present in the first DotA, marking another step in expanding the game past the initial roster scope. As a reminder, Dota 2 equalised the number of playable heroes back in 2016 and has 12 additional heroes after that, with Ringmaster being the 13th addition.
