Destiny 2 players were dismayed to see that the themed armour for a reworked subclass was missing in its season so Bungie cleared up what's going on and when to expect it.
Arc 3.0 kicked off with Season 18 on August 23, 2022, bringing players new builds to mess around with and new cosmetics in the Eververse store to make their fashion dreams come true.
In the latter part of the additions, something was off, compared to previous seasons. Namely, Season 16 introduced Void 3.0 and a themed ornament set was featured in the store for the entire season. The same happened with Solar 3.0 and Season 17.
Season 18 didn't get an Arc 3.0 ornament set as the collaboration event between Destiny 2 and Fortnite kicked in with sets themed after the latter game.
Upon countless inquiries by fans, Joe Blackburn confirmed that Arc 3.0 ornament set was not actually dumped and it would merely be released in Season 19 instead of the current one.
Many guessed the reason was to get the most out of Fortnite collab and that much was confirmed by the lead designer for armour sets in Destiny 2. The team wanted to avoid the two sets cannibalizing each other's sales and releasing three sets in a short period of time could have resulted in lower quality of all of them.
The third set in question is the mecha ornament set that will arrive for the Festival of the Lost, Destiny 2's equivalent of Halloween. In any case, it looks like Bungie is sticking to up to two themed sets per season as Arc 3.0 set will be around during the same season as the Dawning 2022.
