Bungie revealed some components of the next Destiny 2 expansion, Lightfall, which pretty much confirmed the previous leaks.

Lightfall expansion leaked ahead of the announcement but the official trailer and Bungie presentation still delivered a flavour for the upcoming Destiny 2 DLC that we couldn't get from a few out-of-context images.

Destiny 2: Lightfall is coming on February 28, 2023, and there is a price hike involved when compared to Witch Queen. The Deluxe Edition of the current expansion, which includes the expansion and four season passes, was $80 / €80 while Lightfall will set you back $100 / €100 for the same package.

Lightfall+Annual Pass pack also includes access to two new dungeons during the year, which is one more than what WQ offered. Whether that is worth the 25 per cent price hike is up for you to decide.

Interestingly enough, it appears that ornament sets might see a 33 per cent price increase in Eververse, as the Fortnite one is currently on "sale" at 1500 Silver, which used to be the regular price. Once the sale is gone, it will be up to 2000.

The leaks correctly guessed the location where the plot will unfold - Neomuna, a city on Neptune. It wields cyberpunk and '80s themes with excessive amounts of neon lighting the way.

Guardians will see a new class, called the Strand, which will give them a new set of Darkness powers, allowing them to weave their way, especially in the Hunters' case.
