New Exodus gameplay footage highlights Jun Aslan’s weapons, party abilities, and exploration inside the mysterious Ghost City.

Developer Archetype Entertainment is continuing to share brief glimpses of gameplay from their upcoming game Exodus ahead of a summer deep dive into the game.

The newest trailer dives into the depths of the underground Ghost City of Lidon and provides another peek at Exodus gameplay mechanics.Similar to previous gameplay looks, players are treated to a rundown of combat, traversal, and party abilities.

Although short, the clip further demonstrates Jun Aslan’s seeming flexibility during fights, and teases more about utilizing teammates and party Synergies.

New Gameplay Highlights Combat and Exploration

Various weapons of Jun Aslan’s arsenal are shown in use during the trailer. After using a spiked gun, Jun fires beneath an enemy group underground before quickly rising and sending them flying with a strong uppercut.

Players also get another look at a few of Exodus’ ranged weapons. There’s a mortar gun featured that can take out enemies from afar, as well as the Shredder, which seems like it’ll be used to easily slaughter multiple foes at once.

The trailer also spends a good chunk of time highlighting interactions with party members as well as traversal. Jun’s ally Elise is shown briefly busting through a wall to clear Jun’s path forward, showing how party members may interact with the environment to clear out obstacles and open up new paths while exploring.

Ghost City itself continues to impress visually as well, further fleshing out the sci-fi RPG’s worldbuilding in the name of mysterious alien predecessors.

While Archetype still has yet to announce a release window for Exodus, we’ve at least gotten more clarity as to what its gameplay is mixing of squad-based combat, cinematic action, and exploration.
