Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 is now live, and with it comes a brand new map layout and a new spread of NPC placements around the island. Since the Zero Point end of Chapter 6, the game has seen a wave of changes to the way matches play out and a general shift in pacing and flow.
One thing that has remained steady, however, is the importance of NPCs. If you need healing, ammo, rifts, or specialists to back you up in a fight, it helps to have a detailed list of where you can find each character. Doing so can completely change the trajectory of your match. Season 1 sees a slightly different take on NPC roles.
As usual, some characters have set roles that function as specialists, while others provide a bank of rotating services that will vary from match to match. Below, you can find a complete list of every NPC in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 and what they can do for you.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 NPC List
There are ten total NPC characters for the Chapter 7 Season 1 map. More will be available later in the season, but these are the only NPC characters available at launch. In a change from previous seasons, most NPCs are either random service NPCs or hireable specialists.
Random-Service NPCs
These NPCs provide one of four random offerings each match.
The options include:
- Gain Gold based on match performance (Free)
- Spawn a Rift (500 Gold)
- Restock Ammo (500 Gold)
- Health and Shields (500 Gold)
Specialist NPCs
Hireable specialist characters can be purchased for 600 Gold and will follow the player and support them for the duration of the match. Behaviours are class-dependent. A Medic Specialist, for instance, will act primarily as a healer, whereas a Heavy or Supply Specialist will provide combat-oriented support.
