Battlefield V update adding Combined Arms

DICE and EA are rolling out their third update for Battlefield V and the WW2 shooter is getting Combined Arms, a four-player co-operative mode with eight PvE missions and four different objectives, and Nvidia DLSS deep learning technology.

Responding to questions in EA's earnings call, the company's CEO Andrew Wilson said that there shouldn't be any tension between Battlefield V's battle royale mode Firestorm and Respawn's Apex Legends, as the two games are very different.

Battlefield V gets Sturmgeschütz IV

EA DICE have rolled out a major update for Battlefield V. It is part of the Tides of War, dubbed Lightning Strikes and it brings about a new Axis vehicle, named Sturmgeschütz IV along with Panzerstorm map updates and quality of life fixes.

Upcoming Battlefield V update brings new tank

Battlefield V's live service Tides of War second chapter is set for another January update which includes a new Sturmgeschutz IV tank and changes to F point on the Panzerstorm map. Dice have also added improvements to Practice Range.

Nvidia's exclusive DLSS feature could be coming to Dice's Battlefield V pretty soon. When combined with RTX Ray Tracing, Deep Learning Supersampling will bring improvements to Battlefield V's overall performance on all RTX series cards.

EA DICE made many Battlefield V players angry when they introduced TTK changes, but apparently, the community blowback was bigger than anticipated as the developers have decided to completely revert the changes on 18 December 2018.

Dice officially responded to fan's backlash after the introduction of time to kill changes which decreased the damage of weapons leading to slower TTK. Fans said that the changes are in favour of casual players and not Battlefield veterans.

Battlefield V is officially one week old but the first news fresh off its maiden voyage ain't exactly great. The game's physical sales in the UK were only good enough to secure fourth place, lagging behind Battlefield 1 by 63 per cent.

Battlefield V took a bit more realistic approach when it came to combat, as EA DICE reduced time to kill and time to death, compared to the previous titles in the series. Some fans now want it tweaked, while others support the decision.
