EA reveal Battlefield V minimum specs, size

EA and DICE have revealed the minimum specs required to run their upcoming SJW simulator Battlefield V and it turns out that if your rig was good enough for Battlefield 1, it will be enough to run the new instalment in the franchise.

Sweden has joined the legislative battle against loot boxes. The minister of civil affairs, Ardalan Shekarabi, suggested the mechanic could be banned by 2019. A study from the University of Hamburg prompted the German Youth Protection Commission to also take action.

EA hides behind 'Star Wars canon'

EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen spoke at the Credit Suisse Annual Technology, Media and Telecom Conference recently. He explained why they will not be moving away from microtransactions and that they are looking for ways to re-activate the system. The usual cosmetic loot boxes seem to be out of the question as EA doesn't want to "violate the canon of Star Wars".

Australia's Gambling Commission on loot boxes

War on microtransactions and loot boxes has reached Australia. A Reddit user contacted the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation about their stance on the issue, and a Strategic Analyst for the Compliance Division at VCGLR responded.
