Vehicles are very important means of transportation over huge wastelands of Dune: Awakening, and if one of them gets damaged due to many factors, here is how to repair it.

Since Dune: Awakening is a game that features an open-world setting, and Funcom, the developers of the game, decided to implement very unusual, almost useless fast-travel mechanics, travelling over long distances will be done by driving vehicles, mostly sand bikes, and later in the game, some more advanced ones.

However, as everything in this game screams danger all the time, driving your vehicles carelessly or even leaving them unattended may cause huge harm to them, sometimes even rendering them undrivable.

It is true that you cannot avoid it, but to maintain your ride properly, you'll have to learn how to take good care of it. In this guide, we will show you how to repair your vehicle if and when it becomes too damaged to drive.

How to repair vehicles in Dune: Awakening

If your vehicle gets too damaged, it won't want to move once you hop on it, and to check its condition, you'll have to inspect it, choose the "More" option from the pop-up menu, and see the "Manage Vehicle" section. In this section, you'll see which parts need to be repaired.

To repair the vehicle, bring up the welding tool, aim for the damaged part, and press and hold the RT button (Xbox controller) to start the repair process. Keep in mind, however, that a welding tool requires welding wire as ammo to work properly. Both the welding tool and the welding wires can be produced inside your base in the fabricator using only copper ingots.

Once your vehicle is repaired, you can drive it normally as before. One more thing about vehicles that game won't tell you until it actually happens is that if you leave your vehicle outside during sandstorms, it will be damaged severely, so try to hide it somewhere safe before abandoning it if you can.
