As almost any other game that uses unlockable skills to make a character stronger and more capable, Dune: Awakening, the latest survival from Funcom, uses the same tried-and-true mechanics: get the XP by levelling up and use that XP to unlock new skills.
Once a new level is gained, your character will have one skill point, and you will use those points to unlock new skills. Sometimes a new skill will require only one point, while some skills will cost two or even three; the better the skill, the more it costs.
However, we've all been there when we spend some hard-earned skill points on some skills that happen to be almost useless for our playstyle. If that happened to you while playing Dune: Awakening, we will show you how to easily respec your skills and start over with new skills more suitable for your playstyle.
How to reset skills (respec) in Dune: Awakening
To make things clear, respeccing won't allow you to change class, and everything you'll be able to do is just change the skills within your chosen class. You'll be able, however, to train your character to use the skills of other classes, but the unlockable skills are exclusive for the class you chose at the beginning of your playthrough.
If you want to respec your character's skills, Dune: Awakening won't punish you a lot for doing that. Some games will require special places or special items; here, the press of a single button will suffice. To respec, just enter the skills submenu and press the R button on your keyboard or equivalent button for the controller.
Once you press this button, you'll be warned that if you respec your skills, you'll need to wait for 48 hours to do the same thing again. In other words, you won't need a special item to do respeccing, but if you want to do it, be sure to do it properly because you'll need to wait for two full days to correct your eventual mistake.
