To make combat even more interesting in Dragon's Dogma 2, the newest RPG from Capcom, you will have a lot of unlockable skills at your disposal, ranging from weapon skills, core skills, and certain augments that will make you an ultimate monster-killing machine.
Those skills can greatly improve the quality of your gameplay; however, unlocking them and finding the right someone to help you with this task can be quite perplexing as the game gives you a lot of information at the very beginning, so this important one might just slip your attention.
To find out how and where to apply and upgrade the skills in Dragon's Dogma 2, we've prepared a special guide on that matter.
How to unlock and upgrade skills
The main currency needed for unlocking and upgrading skills in Dragon's Dogma 2 are so-called discipline points or "Dcp," as they are referred to in the game. Discipline points are gained by defeating enemies at the same time as you gain XP points. Every time you defeat an enemy or group of enemies, you will get a prompt showing you how many Dcp points you gained.
However, unlike other RPGs, you cannot simply enter the main menu and upgrade your character. In order to do so, you must find a certain NPC that takes care of guild staff called Vocation Guild, and he/she will lead you through this skill-related process. Every major town houses one of the guild caretakers, and they are shown on the map with a double-sword icon.
Apart from acquiring and equipping skills, their services will let you change vocations (classes) as well and give any found seeker tokens that will have a special set of rewards. Once you unlock a new skill, you can equip it on your skill-wheel. It is worth noting that you can equip skills on campfires as well, but you cannot acquire any new ones; you can only change existing ones.
