Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 - Best weapons in each category

It's not all about the skill, the gun plays a role too

With so many gun options, it's hard to know which gun is the best. This article contains the best gun(s) for every weapon class in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

If you manage to successfully land in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, you've done a third of the things you need to do to get that sweet victory. The only things remaining are getting good guns and killing enemies (that is if your game doesn't crash in the process).

We have tested the weapons of Warzone 2.0 to see which ones are the best in each category (so you don't have to) and these are our top picks:

1. Battle Rifles

The TAQ-V is one of the most powerful battle rifles of the bunch even though it does have a slight kick to it. If you are battling mid to close range, this gun is a must-have in your loadout.

2. SMGs

The SMGs are currently owning the meta, and the best ones are definitely the Lachmann Sub and Fennec 45. The Lachmann has very good damage and mobility while the Fennec 45 has a very high fire rate. Both are easy to use due to their controllable recoil.

3. LMGs

When it comes to LMGs, the safest picks would be the RPK and the RAAL. Both do a lot of damage while the RPK does have a slightly faster firing rate than the RAAL.

4. Sniper Rifles

While all of the snipers are very reliable and deal a lot of damage, the Victus XMR is the best of the bunch due to it having the most predictable bullet drop.

5. Marksman rifles

The best Marksman rifle for medium range is the EBR 14. As it does have a very high damage output and can down an enemy in a few shots.

6. Shotguns

Shotguns are not very meta but for those who want to be safe even in very close range, the Bryson 800 is the best choice.

7. Pistols

While most pistols are not very useful past the first ~30 seconds of the match, the X13 Auto could find its place in someone's loadout due to it being a machine pistol.

8. Rifles

We could not pinpoint just one rifle that would satisfy everyone's playstyles, so we chose a few. The TAQ-56, the STB 556, the Kastov 74U, and the Kastov 762 are all weapons that the players can fully rely on to fight back everything that is thrown at them because of their damage output and low recoil.
