A lot of the players might not have paid much attention to the Stronghold event or didn't get a chance to play it. This article contains everything you need to know about Strongholds in Warzone 2.0 and how to complete them.

Every big location in Warzone 2.0 has some fun and very different contracts that players can activate to earn some quick cash. But aside from these contracts, there is also an event that activates shortly after all of the players have landed and the safe zone has shrunk once.

This event is called Stronghold and it can spawn at up to 3 locations on the map. Be cautious as this event does cause a lot of lag if there are a lot of players trying to partake in one location.

If the Stronghold icon is white, that means that there are no players trying to complete it at the moment. If it's red, there are players currently trying to clear it out. And the Stronghold icon will disappear if the key for the Black zone is obtained and the Black zone has been activated.

Sometimes the icons will glitch out and the Stronghold icon will remain white and the Black zone will never activate. This tends to occur when one team (or player) manages to get the key but then dies before they leave the area and the key bugs out of their inventory and disappears.

Once the players have successfully cleared the area of AI enemies and defused a bomb at one of the Strongholds, they are rewarded with a gasmask, armour vest, a backpack, the Black zone key and access to their custom loadouts.

Strongholds are packed with AI enemies that will keep respawning for as long as the players stay in the area, our best advice is to grab the items and run.

Once the players have reached the Black zone, they have to unlock one of the doors to start the final part of the event. As soon as this is done, a heavily armoured AI (similar to the Jailor in the Gulag) will step outside the building with a minigun and start shooting.

The AI can open doors, climb ladders and jump on every surface that the player can jump on, killing him will complete the event. Those who successfully complete the event will be rewarded with a big backpack, durable gasmask and one minigun (per team). Additionally, the Black zone building will contain a lot of loot crates as well as money.
