Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the latest action adventure shooter from Ubisoft, has one of the most beautiful and, at the same time, the most perilous open worlds ever seen and experienced in the realm of video games.
Navigating such an expansive and vast open world is impractical on foot alone. It's only natural to require modes of transportation to reach every corner and unveil the hidden secrets that Pandora holds.
To swiftly traverse the extensive map in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the optimal method is to mount an Ikran, a dragon-like flying creature that can be tamed to become a loyal companion throughout our adventures in the Western Frontier. In this guide, we will show you the best way to fly this majestic creature.
How to properly fly Ikran
Navigating the Ikran in flight deviates from conventional controls found in other games. To propel forward, it requires continuous pressure on the left stick of the controller; releasing it results in the Ikran briefly bouncing before gradually slowing down.
However, there's an effective method to prompt the Ikran to move at high speeds—timely pressing of the cross key. When you engage the cross button, the Ikran will vigorously flap its wings, accelerating in the process. However, it's important to note that continuous pressing of the cross button will deplete its stamina, eventually leading to energy consumption.
To avoid this issue, pay attention to the green flash on the Ikran stamina bar displayed on the screen. This is a crucial moment to press the cross button. By synchronising the green flash, the wing movement, and the controller vibration, you can maximise Ikran's speed while preserving its stamina.
