In the forthcoming Season 19, known as Ignite, we're about to encounter a fresh Apex Legend named 'Conduit.' But the excitement doesn't stop there, as Storm Point, the game's map, is undergoing a substantial transformation to enhance its accessibility and appeal.
In addition to this, Respawn has unveiled the highly-anticipated cross-progression update, set to launch in tandem with the new season. Furthermore, there's a ranked update in the pipeline, and here is everything you need to know.
Map Changes for Storm Point
- Storm Point now has six new Points of Interest (POIs), including Wattson's Pylon, Zeus Station, Ceto Station, and Echo HQ. These POIs relate to Wattson's efforts to restore power to the affected areas.
- The Lightning Rod has been reworked to connect better with the rest of Storm Point, reducing the overall map size for more close-quarters combat.
- More loot is now available, and Prowler Nests in the Forbidden Zone have been replaced with new structures.
Cross Progression Finally Arrives
Cross progression is becoming a reality in Apex Legends, and it will be automatically applied to accounts linked to your EA ID. The account with the highest max level becomes the master account.
Weapon Changes and Crafting
- Changes include the Longbow DMR, Charge Rifle, Sentinel, and Bocek Bow receiving adjustments to promote diversity in the mid-to-long-range weapon meta.
- Care Packages now contain one weapon, removing the Wingman from ground loot but buffing it in the package. The L-Star returns to ground loot, although not as strong as in previous iterations.
- Crafting changes involve weapon rotations, with RE-45 and 30-30 replacing R-301 and Volt. The Digi-Threat is removed, and the Turbo Charge nerf is reversed.
Ranked Updates for Season 19
- Ranked will experience a soft reset at the beginning of Season 19. Data from Resurrection is factored into ranking, and the ranked skydive trail is replaced by a banner frame that can be kept indefinitely.
- Party restrictions are removed for ranked trios, allowing friends to play regardless of rank.
- Promotional Trials are introduced, offering tasks and challenges to advance to the next ranked tier, encouraging active participation.
- A tracker in the lobby keeps you informed about your progress, and you have five chances to complete the trials. Failing trials results in setbacks and more severe consequences for Diamond players.
