Leading up to Apex Legends Season 16, Respawn had a tradition of introducing a fresh legend in each new season. This consistent rollout provided players with exciting content to explore and master regularly.
However, they departed from this pattern to place a more significant emphasis on shaping the game's meta. As we look back at the two seasons that followed, this strategy has undeniably materialized.
Season 17 welcomed Ballistic as a new legend, while Season 18 concentrated on the rebirth of Revenant – a revamp that had long been a haunting presence in the battle royale.
Conduit's Backstory and Abilities
Conduit, known as a "tiny titan of optimism," has a unique backstory. She scavenged a radioactive battery from a Monarch Titan and now uses it to power her suit and compete in the Apex Games, but this choice comes at a cost.
Her suit design reflects her partnership with Lastimosa Armory and features design elements from Monarch Titans and other Titanfall tech. It also incorporates vibrant colors to mirror her enthusiasm for joining the Apex Games.
Conduit's Abilities
- Savior's Speed (Passive): Provides a speed boost when Conduit is separated from her team, which is helpful when catching up with your squad.
- Radiant Transfer (Tactical): Allows Conduit to boost allies with energy, generating a temporary shield when in danger, which is valuable for shield charging or healing in critical moments.
- Energy Barricade (Ultimate): Empowers your team's control over an area with shield-damaging devices, creating a zone that can deter nearby enemy squads. However, enemies can destroy these devices to create an escape route.
