During the sequence where you pursue the mysterious blond man through the Grand Carpathian Hotel in 007 First Light, the latest action adventure from IOI Interactive, the trail eventually leads to a room that appears to have no obvious exit. Interacting with the ornate fireplace prompts Bond to comment that the dial mechanism on it needs to be solved before anything will happen.
The dial features six animal symbols arranged in a circle, and three of them need to be selected to open the hidden door behind the fireplace.
Step 1: Find and read the torn book page
Before touching the fireplace, look for the torn book page on the table nearby. Inspecting it reveals that the text is in Slovakian and appears to describe instructions for a hidden mechanism. The key detail is a strange composite creature depicted on the page, made up of three distinct animals: a goat, a lion, and a snake.
Step 2: Select the correct symbols on the fireplace dial
Interact with the fireplace and examine the dial. Locate the lion, the snake, and the goat among the six symbols on the wheel. Select all three. The order in which you select them does not matter, only that all three are chosen.
Step 3: Pass through the secret door
Once the correct three symbols are selected, the hidden door behind the fireplace will open, allowing you to continue pursuing the blond man.
