Riot Games' lead balance developer announced that several champions are getting nerfed in the next League of Legends patch. Yuumi, Syndra, and Mordekaiser are among those champions.
League of Legends Patch 12.23 is shaping up to be a major one, following on from the massive changes in Patch 12.22; it will include a slew of improvements. Tank boosts, additional jungle tweaks, champion mini-reworks, nerfs to several champions and items are among the changes.
Furthermore, the patch will be the final patch of 2022. This section will focus on the nerfs that will be included in Patch 12.23. Yuumi , Syndra , Mordekaiser , Shyvana, Trundle, and Lillia are the champions that will get the nerf hammers.
Unfortunately, the aforementioned champions have been doing far too well in solo-queue, with some even approaching a 54% victory rate. It's no surprise Riot is nerfing these champs.
Yuumi has always been a difficult champion to play, either unplayable or overpowered. Unfortunately, it is the latter this time.
However, she has been one of the best poke mages in the game since the introduction of full AP Yuumi builds; additionally, she can heal, which other poke mages cannot. So a Yuumi nerf wasn't all that surprising.
Syndra has been one of the top mid-laners in League of Legends since her mini-rework in patch 12.19. In solo-queue, she presently has a 52% win rate and a 12% ban rate, which is rather high for a high-skill champion like Syndra. So, Riot intends to nerf Syndra.
Mordekaiser has gained enormous enhancements as a result of the release of new tank equipment in Preseason 2023. Mordekaiser, unlike other bruisers, scales incredibly well with tank items, and with the new tank item Jak'Sho, The Protean, he has become a jungle monster.
