It looks like it's only a matter of time before we get the official announcement of some Xbox games coming to PlayStation 5. According to Xbox community member and content creator Colteastwood who has a good track record when it comes to Xbox leaks, some Xbox exclusives have already been ported to PlayStation 5 and their official release is being prepared.
"I've already heard of PS5 versions of some Xbox First Party Games already ported and readied," said colteastwood on social media X. Reliable insider Nate the Hate who initially shared this rumour on his podcast reiterated in a reply that he heard the same thing from his source.
Unfortunately, colteastwood did not share the names of these exclusives or when exactly they could arrive on PlayStation 5. His post on X only suggests that this would be sometime soon.
At the moment, we only know of two rumoured Xbox exclusives that could launch on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. These are Rare's swashbuckling adventure Sea of Thieves, which is a live service title, and Tango Gameworks' strictly single-player rhythm action game Hi-Fi Rush.
Other than that, there are no other Xbox exclusives mentioned but that could change if Microsoft indeed want to start publishing their first-party games on the competitors' platforms.
It remains to be seen what exactly Microsoft's response will be to the Xbox community who did not take these rumours lightly and would prefer to have their own set of exclusive games just like PlayStation and Switch has.
Microsoft are probably looking at the bigger picture here, allowing them to potentially get more revenue and use that to fund more games for Xbox Game Pass. We also doubt that Xbox would ever put their first-party games on day one on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch as that would severely impact the sales of Xbox Series X and future Xbox consoles.
