Riot Games’ has shared the first look at League of Legends Patch 26.17 today. This gives players their first preview of upcoming balance changes in the next patch.
While we still don’t have any numbers for the buffs and nerfs, Riot’s initial looks always share which champions and items are going to be targeted. This allows players to get ready now for changes coming in a few days.
Overall, nine champions are being buffed in Patch 26.17. These champions include:
- Cho’Gath
- Irelia
- Hecarim
- LeBlanc
- Qiyana
- Yasuo
- Yone
- Trundle
- Aurelion Sol
On the other hand, Riot is preparing six nerfs for the following champions:
- Nasus
- Thresh
- Xerath
- Graves
- Nocturne
- Vayne
These changes are expected to help keep champions from performing as power outliers, instead of reworking their kits.
Item Changes Coming to League of Legends Patch 26.17
Along with the champion changes, two items are receiving changes:
- Stormrazor – Buff
- Sundered Sky – Nerf
Stormrazor is being buffed to widen its use beyond just some Jhin builds. We don’t have the numbers for this buff just yet.
Sundered Sky is being nerfed again. Riot mentioned that they want to see how this item plays after previous nerfs, but it continues to perform especially well with high-level players.
This looks to be a relatively small patch. With nine buffs, six nerfs, and two item changes, players should expect more balance changes to be added.
Details on Patch 26.17 Should Be Coming Soon
As always, this is just a first look at the upcoming Patch 26.17. We’ll have to wait until Riot releases the full patch notes to see exact numbers and details on the changes.
For now, players can start getting more familiar with some of the fighters that are being buffed in hopes that they’ll be stronger in the patch. Stay tuned for more details on Patch 26.17.
