Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, the studio behind Silent Hill 2: Remake, has shared with journalists that a slew of new details about the upcoming game will be revealed shortly, according to his optimistic expectations.
Konami's choice to entrust the development of Silent Hill 2: Remake to a relatively inexperienced studio, Bloober Team, with a less-than-stellar track record led many to burry the project underground instantly. However, with the limited information available about the game, there is little option but to hold out hope that the studio will surpass expectations and prove sceptics wrong.
According to Babieno, Konami retains full responsibility for planning the entire campaign, making decisions, and orchestrating the project.
"Konami is developing a promotional campaign, and we believe that this promotion will start very soon," said Piotr Babieno.
Throughout the interview, Babieno consistently highlighted that Silent Hill 2: Remake is not the sole focus of Bloober Team, emphasising the advanced development stage of their original IP, Project C. Besides these two projects, Babieno assured the audience that there are many more announcements lined up for the entire year, stating:
"We have planned updates for the whole year, and it won't just be about Silent Hill and Project C. There are more surprises in store."
As confirmed by PlayStation on their blog earlier this year, Silent Hill 2: Remake is set for release in the coming year, as we recently informed. Although the specific release date remains unknown, we are waiting for more details soon, as the CEO of Bloober Team himself promised us that.
