French indie developer Motion Twin is kicking off the La Motion Week Steam event, running until Oct. 10, 2024, in style with some exciting announcements.
The event brings with it some cool sales, and to coincide, players can pick up the rogue-lite Dead Cells for 50% off while also receiving updates on both Dead Cells and the highly anticipated Early Access Steam launch of Windblown.
So, Windblown, the new fast-paced rogue-lite from devs of Dead Cells, is coming to Early Access on Steam Oct. 24, 2024. Soon, players will leap across immense, ever-changing floating islands, using a bevy of Powered Suits and deadly equipment to take on the Vortex's deadly minions, known as Sentinels.
The game will feature both single-player and cooperative multiplayer with up to three players. This would focus on quick reflexes and seeking synergies between builds as ways to overcome the challenge.
Equipped with mysterious biomes, secrets, and hard foes, players will be using dozens of weapons, trinkets, and gifts strategically to empower their Leaper and conquer Sentinels.
But the death isn't the end; on the contrary, each failure is a chance to learn something, unlock new options for a build, and make another run. Fans won't be left waiting until the release date on Oct. 24, though, as there will be a single-player demo available from the 14th to the 21st in the Steam Next Fest.
Progress earned from demo completion will carry over in Early Access, and as thanks for testing out the early parts of the game, players who try it out also get an exclusive Guinea Pig skin unlocked.
