Dead Cells The Bad Seed DLC now has a release date. It arrives on 11 February 2020 and Motion Twin have shared a new trailer to celebrate the launch.
A couple of months ago, Motion Twin, the developer of fantastic platformer Dead Cells announced the game's second DLC named The Bad Seed. Today, we have an official release date for the paid expansions. It arrives on Tuesday, 11 February 2020.
To celebrate the release, Motion Twin released a brand new trailer, showcasing new levels, locations and more. You can watch it above. The Bad Seed is the first paid DLC for Dead Cells after the previous DLC Rise of the Giant was available free of charge. The Bad Seed will cost $4.99/€4.99.
"We have been releasing free updates for Dead Cells for over a year now, this paid DLC is designed to support that effort, allow us to expand the game even more and ensure that Motion Twin have the time they need to make their next game one they'll be proud of and you'll be stoked to play," the devs explained their decision.
The Bad Seed brings two new levels - The Arboretum and The Swamp. The two new levels, as well as their monsters, are alternatives to The Courtyard/Toxic Sewers and The Ramparts/Ossuary/Ancient Sewers. The devs say the bosses are designed to be on par with The Concierge.
The trailer shows a lot of these new enemies and locations but we will have to wait a bit more to see everything that is coming in the new DLC.
Dead Cells is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and iOS.
