This weekend will also see Until Dawn's remastered edition release, where players are brought back to Blackwood Mountain with refreshed graphics, as well as several new features in this version of the popular horror adventure.
Sony releases the newly developed edition of Until Dawn this Friday and the company's newest trailer welcomes fans to "relive the nightmare." A select few have already managed to get their hands on the game early, and Twitch is already blowing up with streams.
That said, it simply isn't the same as actually playing it-as the core of the experience is steeped in player choice regarding character life and death.
With that said, the one thing worthy of mention is the price: Until Dawn costs Є80, and there is no option to upgrade from the original version. Anyways, it's upon the players' decisions if it is worth the money or just watch some gameplay on the web before deciding on the game.
The Until Dawn remaster, which releases tomorrow on October 4th, has hints that really could indicate the story is not quite over and may continue at some point in the future.
For the unaware, Until Dawn features multiple endings based on which characters survive the night. This new iteration of the game features an additional scene that strongly suggests one character's story hasn't ended just yet. We won't spoil how that new ending unfolds, or for whom, but it's rather easily found online if you're keen to know.
It is unknown whether this teases a new game, an expansion to the original work, or even a nod to an upcoming movie adaptation. The universe of Until Dawn has expanded before onto both with its VR prequel The Inpatient and the spin-off Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, so a continuation doesn't remain too excellent a question.
