ArenaNet revealed some of the upcoming balance changes in Guild Wars 2, mostly revolving around PvE content, giving warriors and rangers new ways to make themselves useful.
Guild Wars 2 has a colourful history when it comes to balancing Quickness and Alacrity boons as well as the professions that can provide them. For example, mesmer Chronomancers are disappointed in their nerfs to this very day but remain hopeful they will be able to pump the buffs up more effectively in the future.
Before that happens, however, it appears that warriors and rangers are in the line ahead of them, each receiving a powerful boon generator in the update that is scheduled for June 28, 2022.
Warriors will be able to provide multi-target Quickness with their banners but there are no exact details on how this will work. In any case, Solar explained that the players will be able to spec into support warriors more effectively when the changes arrive.
Similarly, rangers will be a source of Alacrity through their spirits. Once again, it's too early to speculate on how these will measure up to other sources of these boons, especially because there is no available data yet.
The announcement of these changes prompted the mesmer mains to seek a revert to at least some of the nerfs that happened to the Chronomancer over the years.
It remains to be seen if Chronos will make a grand comeback but for those who are more focused on the goal than the means, the warrior and ranger buffs will more than suffice.
