Digital Extremes have announced that Warframe Operation: Buried Debts has launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, which means it's available on all platforms and that the dev is seriously tightening the gap between platforms.
Onto the update though, and the most important piece is, of course, the new warframe, Hildryn. What sets Warframe's new powerhouse apart is that she has no energy as in life, only shields.
Her abilities are in tune with Hyldrin's shield reliance, and Balefire launches bolts of fire at the expense of her shields. The bigger the charge, the higher the damage, just make sure your shields can handle it.
Her second ability is Shield Pillage and Warframe baddies crossing her way will find that she is quick to replenish her own shields at the expense of theirs. A "thieving wave of energy" is launched from Hyldrin, bringing back the stolen and any stray shields laying around.
Haven creates a Shield aura around enemies, with any enemies who approach taking damage.
The last one is probably the coolest of the bunch as Aegis Storm lets Hyldrin take to the skies and suspend nearby enemies in the air. While they're up there, they're dropping Energy Orbs every few seconds and once done, Aegis Storm slams them into the ground.
As for Warframe Operation: Buried Debts, the story is that Venus' surface is getting cracks thanks to Nef Anyo's grand appetites. Players will be working with the community and Solaris United to uncover "and solve a multi-part Operation and the mystery lurking below the surface".
Digital Extremes wrote that there are plenty of unique Warframe items to be won in the Operation: Buried Debts, but there's a "tremendous foe" you'll have to beat before that.
Digital Extremes also said that the update will improve melee combat on all the aforementioned consoles.
