Valorant patch 8.09 gives Agent Brimstone a small buff and it resolves a massive bug concerning crosshairs and crosshair profiles. Here are the full patch notes.

In shooters like Valorant, your crosshair is crucial for aiming and gameplay precision. This glitch can make the game practically unplayable, as crosshairs are essential for aiming and targeting.

Recently, some players have encountered a frustrating issue where their crosshairs disappear unexpectedly. This, however, started happening more frequently after the latest Valorant Patch 8.08. This problem, possibly due to patch bugs, corrupted files, or conflicts with settings, is frustrating many players, hampering their gameplay and competitiveness.

Riot Games has acknowledged the problem and announced that they plan to prevent crosshair profiles from disappearing with a fix in Patch 8.09. And they kept their promise. So let's take a deeper look at what other changes and fixes were made to this patch.

Agent Updates on Valorant Patch 8.09

Where patch 8.08 brought significant nerfs to Viper, the latest patch, 8.09, offers a slight buff to another Controller Agent, Brimstone. The primary change in Valorant Patch 8.09 is the radius increase of Brimstone's Sky Smokes radius. This radius has been increased from 410 to 415, aligning it more closely with the size of Omen's smoke (Dark Cover).

Brimstone:

The developers have implemented some minor adjustments to Brimstone's Sky Smoke (E) ability to ensure that it effectively covers the area indicated by the UI when placed.

This adjustment ensures that when the outer edge of the targeting UI covers a choke point, the resulting smoke will fully cover that area. Additionally, we've slightly increased the radius of Brimstone's smoke to match the size of smoke produced by other agents like Omen.

Sky Smoke (E):

  • Radius increased from 410 to 415.
  • UI targeting size updated to accurately reflect the size of the smoke.

Bug fixes on Valorant Patch 8.09

In addition to the Brimstone buff, patch 8.09 addresses an annoying bug related to crosshair profiles. Many players have experienced the frustration of losing all their saved crosshair profiles, and this patch rectifies that issue.Furthermore, patch 8.09 resolves the crosshair profiles bug and corrects certain inaccuracies in the Killed By feed on Combat Reports.

  • Resolved an issue causing the loss of crosshair profiles.
  • Fixed inaccuracies in the Killed By feed on Combat Reports.
  • Addressed bullet tracers remain visible after being disabled in Settings, particularly when the player fires away from the map.
  • Fixed a client freeze occurring after the conclusion of a game, requiring a client restart to continue

Players can finally let out a sigh of relief as the crosshair issue is finally fixed and address. What makes this even better is that Riot made a promise and they kept their word and addressed this issue in a timely manner. So get ready to jump into Valorant, preferably with Brimstone after this new buffs.
