Riot Games is releasing Valorant Patch 8.10 on May 29 at 6 AM PT or 2 PM BST, and they are making massive changes to this patch.
The previous patch 8.09 addressed the annoying bug related to crosshair profiles in addition to the Brimstone buff. Many players have experienced the frustration of losing all their saved crosshair profiles, and patch 8.9 rectified that issue. Furthermore, it also corrected certain inaccuracies in the Killed By feed on Combat Reports.
The new patch 8.10 focuses mainly on the Basic Training Event. So now let's take a deeper look at what Riot has in store for us.
Valorant 8.10 Patch Notes
Here is everything you need to know about the recently launched 8.10 Valorant Patch.
Basic Training Event in Valorant
The developers are rolling out an update to the welcome contract for new players! The new setup comes with clearer tasks and checkpoints to guide you through the New Player Experience a bit better before diving into Ranked.
This basic training event will look like other events, letting you track your progress, understand your goals at each step, and complete them to score rewards to kick off your Valorant journey.
If you've already finished the welcome contract, you won't see the basic training event (no worries, you've already snagged all the same rewards!).
For those who have made progress through the Welcome Contract, your earned rewards will show up in the Basic Training Event when it goes live, and you can keep going through Basic Training to earn XP for your Battle pass.
Bug fixes made on Patch 8.10
- Resolved a bug where shots fired right after leaving Cypher’s Spycam (E) would skip the weapon’s raise animation and do no damage. Now, the weapon raise animation plays out fully.
- Fixed problems where the timer for Clove’s Pick-Me-Up (C) could be reset, letting Clove have more time than intended to trigger the ability.
Riot also recently posted a video titled "Valorant Dev Updates," where the development team discussed various game-related topics and their upcoming plans for patch 8.11. Most of the video focused on the upcoming map pool, agent changes, and the replay system. Currently, many players have avoided playing duelists due to their lack of viability.
