Marvel Rivals is definitely among the most anticipated 2024 game releases, especially for fans of the Marvel universe. It is often described as an Overwatch-style hero shooter featuring characters from the Marvel universe. Although gameplay footage from NetEase and Marvel has been scarce since the game's announcement a few months ago, we do have a confirmation for more than a dozen Marvel heroes and villains expected at launch.
Recently, NetEase hosted a closed beta test for Marvel Rivals, allowing a limited number of players to try out the game and explore how different heroes function. Data miners, diving into the beta test, have done what they do best, which is uncover hidden and upcoming information.
One such dataminer, who is also a trusted source within the Marvel Rivals community, uncovered clues from the closed beta test's files suggesting that 20 previously unannounced characters, including all members of the Fantastic Four, Squirrel Girl, and Venom, might be coming to the game.
Everything revealed in the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta datamine
On Twitter, Marvel Rivals insider Miller Ross, known for revealing leaks for Marvel Avengers and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, shared a list of 39 characters identified in the closed beta test's files, including 20 that have yet to be officially announced.
Among the most intriguing characters found in the beta files are the four members of the Fantastic Four. According to the datamine, The Human Torch, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and The Thing are all expected to join Marvel Rivals eventually.

Ross suggests that Johnny Storm, also known as The Human Torch, might be the first from the Fantastic Four to enter the game, based on how developed his character data appears.In addition to The Fantastic Four, other characters mentioned in the Marvel Rivals files include Venom, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ultron, Thor, Squirrel Girl, and many others.
