Gamers in the U.S. totaled $3.3B in August 2020, which makes for a 37% increase when compared to a year ago, and digital content experienced one of the biggest increases in the industry.
We check out the top-selling games charts, by NPD with Madden NFL 21 leading the pack, as the best-selling game of August 2020, in the United States. Another EA game, UFC 4, had a great month, reaching 2nd place in August 2020, with a series launch record for UFC games published by Electronic Arts to date.

Nintendo Switch units sold are up 2x compared to those in 2019. It was again the best selling console in the U.S. during August 2020, and even more noteworthy, Switch saw the highest sales ever for hardware in an August month, outpacing the Nintendo Wii sales numbers from August 2008.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare continued its domination, and ended up on No.1 spot in the top-selling games in 2020, with Animal Crossing on the 2nd place.
