Ever since Kojima Productions officially announced a sequel to their action-adventure Death Stranding, players have been waiting to hear more about this exciting PlayStation 5 exclusive.
It appears that after a long radio silence from the dev team, the time has come for a brand new Death Stranding 2 (current working title) trailer, which could potentially reveal the release date and other important details.
Hideo Kojima posted on his X profile several images that show the audio mixing process, which many understood as a tease for a new trailer. The official social media X of The Game Awards replied to Hideo Kojima's post with the iconic "googly eyes" emoji, which is mostly used to tease or hint at something coming soon.
Kojima and The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley have built a strong relationship over the last couple of years and Kojima's games often appear at the big show so it certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see Death Stranding 2 at this year's event too.

The Game Awards 2023 is officially streaming live on December 7, 2023, so if you're a fan of Death Stranding and Kojima's work, you probably wouldn't want to miss this one.
At the moment, we know very little about Death Stranding 2. The reveal trailer confirmed that Norman Reedus and Léa Seydoux will return as Sam Bridges and Fragile, respectively and there's a hint that the game will ditch the Iceland-like setting of sprawling rocky terrain, lakes and snowy peaks for a dry, desert region.
We also got to see a new villain, who appears to be a female with a hairstyle that is very similar to Bridget Strand's in the first game. We are certainly eager to hear and see more as Death Stranding was quite an experience especially in terms of the story.
Death Stranding 2 is launching exclusively on PlayStation 5 but there's a chance it arrives to PC at a later date, just like the original.
