Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Patch 1.3 is now available on PC, primarily focusing on optimisation and bug fixes. Additionally, the game is now officially Steam Deck Verified.
Kojima Productions has confirmed the patch is live.The patch notes cover a number of different fixes but highlights improvements to performance and Steam Deck compatibility.
Death Stranding 2 Verified on Steam Deck
The most notable inclusion in this patch is that Death Stranding 2 On the Beach is now officially Verified on Steam Deck. Verified ensures that Death Stranding plays nicely with Steam Deck’s hardware.
Performance is stable, controls work as intended, UI elements are readable, and the game will look great on Steam Deck’s screen. This is great news for players who own Death Stranding 2 on PC who would like to play it on Steam Deck.
Players will no longer have to troubleshoot compatibility issues or configure custom settings.
Improvements to Performance
The patch addresses a few different issues which were impacting performance. One specific example notes players will no longer experience a drop in framerate when looking through sniper rifle scopes.
Wide optimisations have also been applied to Death Stranding 2 to help the game run better.
