Guild Wars 2 has had its fun with cats for April Fools celebration but the big boy boots are coming on as Super Adventure Box is returning to the game once again, celebrating all things 8-bit.
ArenaNet certainly know how to provide a good April Fools celebration to their players. Ever since the days of the original Guild Wars when the event would cause the players' characters to swap genders or turn them into stickmen, the celebrations have been something else.
The tradition continued with Guild Wars 2 and it was in 2013 that the Super Adventure Box came along for the first time. Now, on 7 April 2020, it is returning to the game once again, offering the players to acquire 8-bit inspired skins for their gear but it's really more about the adventure than the reward here.
Everyone can once again go to Creator's Commons and enter Moto's creation - the world of 8-bit platforming and puzzle jumping. Remember that all your abilities will be replaced with the ones specific to the box.
Unlike the previous years, 2020 will have the Super Adventure Box available for one week longer. Therefore, the event will conclude on 12 May 2020, giving everyone more than a month to practice their skills and beat this triumph of cutting edge graphics and never before seen game mechanics.
In case you haven't tried SAB before, it might be wise to read up on the adventure on Guild Wars 2's wiki . Alternatively, you can just enter blind and enjoy the adventure like the first trailblazer back in 2013.
