Summer Game Fest shared new insights into a handful of eagerly awaited PS5 games. Developers showcased upcoming titles with new gameplay trailers, playable demos, and behind-the-scenes details on what players can expect from the next-gen console over the next couple of years.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 opens co-op squads from three players to four and introduces new enemies, expanded class abilities, and even more loot customizations players have come to love from the first entry. Developer Cold Iron Studios showed off new gameplay that promises to amp up the frantic shooter action fans of the Alien franchise crave.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour
Fans of Sega’ hit arcade racer got another look at Crazy Taxi: World Tour, which promises to amp up the craziness of players’ taxi rides by including a story-focused campaign that spans across the globe. Journey through various countries as you pick up wacky passengers, level up your driver, complete sidequests, and take on other players online.
Gen Atlas
Fans of atmospheric adventure games were also treated to another teaser of gen Atlas, Fumito Ueda's upcoming mysterious sci-fi series starring giant mechanical ruins. Combining elements of exploration, puzzle-solving, and mecha combat, gen Atlas should have players questioning everything as they traverse the beautifully obscured landscapes.
Silent Hill: Townfall
Horror fans were also given more of what they love with a deeper peek at Silent Hill: Townfall, sporting the new mechanic of a portable television players can use to scout for clues, track enemies, and get around the dimly-lit Scottish town while avoiding terrifying monsters that lurk around every corner.
Summer Game Fest concluded with demos of Sonic Pico Park, a cooperative multiplayer platformer puzzle game starring Sonic and friends, and Virtua Fighter Crossroads, an action RPG-lite story-driven fighter that mixes traditional Virtua Fighter gameplay with RPG-lite elements like experience points and branching story paths.
Spanning release dates all the way from late 2026 to 2027, Summer Game Fest gave PlayStation 5 owners an exciting look at what the future of gaming on Sony's console has to offer.
