Sony has refreshed the PlayStation Plus “Last Chance to Play” lineup, officially confirming that nine games will be leaving the subscription service sometime in August.
Newly added titles include Dead Island 2, Earth Defense Force 6, Unicorn Overlord, and a few others you can see playing now in the Game Catalog. Based on the updated PlayStation Store page, five of these titles were previously set to expire this July but have thankfully been extended until August 18.
As for the other four titles added to the list, Sony hasn’t confirmed when exactly they’ll leave but we can safely assume it’ll be when the Game Catalog refreshes later this month.
Dead Island 2 is perhaps the biggest title to note as it leaves PlayStation Plus this month. It’s an action game where you fight your way through zombie-infested cities using a variety of melee and firearms.
Set across a quarantined Los Angeles map, you’ll have access to a ton of weapons with variations you can unlock through DI’s weapon modification system. There are also multiple characters to play as with unique fighting capabilities.
The full list of games leaving PlayStation Plus in August are:
- Dead Island 2
- Earth Defense Force 6
- Unicorn Overlord
- Harold Halibut
- Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
- Röki
- Onee Chanbara Origin
- Bomber Crew
- Space Crew: Legendary Edition
Members who want any of these games will be able to download and play them using their PlayStation Plus subscription up until the game's removal date.
After they are removed from the Game Catalog, players will need to buy them individually, if they want to play them again unless the titles are added back in the future.
