Saber Interactive has posted a mysterious new teaser, setting the stage for a reveal on July 22, and horror fans think they know what’s coming. Shared via the studio’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the brief video features a flickering CRT television sitting on a table surrounded by lit candles, as a static-filled screen pulses ominously.
The post, captioned only with the date "7.22", doesn’t say much, but fans immediately began to speculate that this could be a Hellriser game.
"It's 100% hellraiser, the church bell instantly gave it away. Pinhead is the one speaking, the candles and chain sounds are alluding to the Jesus wept attic scene," one fan wrote.
"Everyone asking, it's Hellraiser!!. You can hear Doug bradly PinHead speaking," another one added.
Speculation around a Hellraiser game first began circulating in 2022, when leakers and insiders hinted that Saber Interactive had quietly secured the license. Those rumors gained more traction after the studio’s success with licensed horror content like World War Z and Evil Dead: The Game.
Now, with this teaser, fans believe the puzzle pieces are finally fitting together, and we could finally get the announcement on July 22.
What Could a Hellraiser Game Look Like?
If this is indeed Hellraiser, the big question is: what kind of game is Saber making? The studio has experience with co-op action and asymmetrical horror, so it could follow a similar formula to Dead by Daylight or The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. But given Hellraiser's deeply psychological and surreal elements, there's also potential for a more story-driven, survival horror approach.
Whether it’s multiplayer, single-player, or something entirely unexpected, Saber’s track record suggests they’re well-equipped to handle the challenge - especially when it comes to faithfully adapting beloved horror franchises.
When Will We Know for Sure?
All signs point to July 22 being the day it’s officially revealed. With no platforms, title, or further details confirmed yet, fans will have to wait a few more days for answers. But if this truly is Hellraiser, expect the horror community to lose its mind about this one.
