World War Z: Aftermath's free next-gen update is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on January 24.
Saber Interactive's co-op zombie shooter World War Z: Aftermath is officially launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this month on January 24, 2023.
The next-gen update will be free for all players and it packs 4K/60 FPS performance which will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In addition to the new performance mode, Aftermath is adding Horde Mode XL, a new, bigger take on the standard Horde mode that will introduce a wave of over 1,000 zombies. This one will be exclusive to PC and next-gen consoles.
Saber also confirmed that they are adding new weapons and a revamped and improved weapon progression system with this update. You can check out the trailer above for a look at these.
And last but not least, the developers announced that World War Z has reached 20 million players across all platforms, which is certainly a major milestone for the studio.
World War Z: Aftermath is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
