Riot has just released Patch 7.07 for Valorant, and with it come some interesting changes. In Patch 7.05, Riot has introduced a restriction to five stacks where only Plats and higher can queue together, but that restriction is being reverted.
The reason behind the original restriction was the unfair boosting of lower ranks by higher ranks since 5 stacks could be made up of teammates with any rank, from iron to radiant. Riot tried combating this with the restriction but have decided to revert it with this message:
“We know how important it is to play with your friends and your need for flexibility in order to do that.Initially, the rank restriction was made to prevent people from illegitimately boosting to the highest ranks, like Radiant. In the end, we realized that your ability to have flexibility with your 5 stack was more important than the very small number of people who abuse this exploit.”
Additionally, Patch 7.07 will bring some agent changes as well:
Cypher
Neural Theft (X) now completes even if Cypher dies after casting.
Gekko
Dizzy’s (E) enemy detection range is now correctly reduced while inside Viper's Pit (X) ability.
And lastly, Premier will get a few touchups for an overall better and more fair user experience.
